i love drawing onto old books’ pages..i love the smell, the look, the feel of old paper…
just crazy about it..crrrrrraaaaaazzzzzzyyyyyy…you get it?
and i love unfamiliar alphabets…arabic, hebrew, armenian….
for a while now I was looking for an old arabic book (that is not Koran- not wanting to offend anyone) so that I could draw onto its pages bringing my love of old pages and foreign alphabets together in the background of my drawings…
now I can thank my lovely cousin for finding me this very old arabic algebra book in a flea market…
as you can see below, it looks like I will be having a lot of fun this inspirational gift :)
meet the new sultan of pomegranates…
eski kitap sayfalarina resim yapmaya bayildigim cogunuzun malumudur…
o eski sayfalarin rengine, kokusuna ve dokusuna bayilirim, deliririm, cildiririm…
derdimi anladiniz?
epey bir zamandir, kimselerin dini duygularini incitmeden eski sayfalarina saldirabilecegim arapca eski bir kitap aramaktaydim… (bilmeden etmeden bir dua kitabini resimlemek istemedim)
cok sevgili kuzenim bu derdime deva oldu…bit pazarindan bu eski arapca algebra kitabini bularaktan…
kendisine buradan bu guzel hediye icin tekrar tesekkuru borc bilirim :)

I’m in love with your sultans. I would so very much like to collaborate with you in a bag project involving the sultans. Would you consider it?
